DPX PLAYER ("the App", "we", "us") is a multimedia player application available for iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, and Smart TV platforms. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes and how it is used. By installing and using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

In short: DPX PLAYER is a player only. It does not provide, sell, or include any channels, movies, or media. We do not collect your name, email, password, payment details, or location. We process your device identifier to activate your licence, and we store your favourites and viewing positions so they survive reinstalling the App or changing device.

1. Information We Process

Device identifier (MAC address / device unique ID): When the App starts, it reads your device's identifier and sends it to our activation server to verify whether the App is licensed/activated for your device. This identifier is used strictly for licence validation and anti-fraud purposes.
Basic device information: the platform (for example iOS or Android) and the device model name, used to support the App and diagnose problems.
IP address and last-seen time: recorded when your device contacts our activation server, used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
Watch data: your favourites, recently watched items and playback positions — see section 3.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
Passwords or account credentials (the App has no user accounts or login)
Payment or financial information
Location or GPS data
Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
Advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites

3. Watch Data (Favourites, Recently Watched, Resume Positions)

So that your favourites and your place in a video are not lost when you reinstall the App or change device, the App saves this information both on your device and on our servers:

Items you mark as favourites
Items you have recently opened
How far through a video you were, so playback can resume

This data is linked to the playlist it belongs to and to your device identifier — not to your name, email or any personal account, because the App has none. It is used only to provide these features. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or analytics, and we do not sell or share it.

You can clear this data at any time from the App's Settings (Clear Cache / Clear Watch Lists), or by contacting us to request deletion.

4. Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following are saved locally on your device and are never transmitted to us:

Playlist or media URLs that you add, and any credentials they contain
App settings (language, subtitle size, stream format, and similar)

5. Content

DPX PLAYER does not host, provide, or distribute any media content. The App is an empty player; all channels, movies, and media are supplied by you, the user, from your own sources. We are not responsible for, and have no control over, any content you load into the App.

6. How the Device Identifier Is Used

To activate and validate your App licence
To link your watch data to the correct device and playlist
To prevent unauthorised use of the App

We do not sell, rent, or share your device identifier with advertisers or any unrelated third parties.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share your information with third parties, except service providers that operate our activation and hosting infrastructure on our behalf, and only to the extent necessary to provide the service, or where required by law.

8. Data Retention

The device identifier and watch data are retained for as long as your device remains registered with the service. Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of the data associated with your device.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we process. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data we hold about your device. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
